Meet the right people at events

When you register for an event, you can now say what you're working on and who you'd like to meet. It's optional and takes a few seconds.

When you're checked in, your ticket and check-in email suggest up to three people who are in the room right now, with a line on why you two should talk and a "Say hi" button. Only people who answered the question are suggested, and you can turn introductions off at any time.

Hosts can see how many introductions were suggested for each event.

Also fixed: event feedback links now load straight away on slow connections, and a rating only counts when you tap Save. And the Members, Hosts and Fixes filters on this page now work.

Feedback links, school hubs, and a fix for Safari

Hosts can now share one feedback link for an event in their group chat. Anyone who came can rate it and leave a comment without signing in. Find the link under Manage → Events → Feedback.

An event can now add everyone who registers to a second hub too. The Onboard3 campus talks use this so students also join their own school's hub.

Fixed: the Manage page could fail to open on iPhone Safari in a Private tab. If a page ever does fail on an event, the error screen now has a direct link to door check-in.

Door check-in is faster and more reliable. Each check-in and walk-in is sent the moment you tap, and the confirmation email goes out right away. If your connection drops, a bar at the top shows what's waiting and sends it as soon as you're back online. The total at the top is the same on every phone, so two or more people can work the door together.

Register while the event is on

You can now register for an event while it's happening. The event page shows "Happening now" and a "Register — I'm here" button; once you're in, your ticket opens full screen so the host can scan you at the door.

If you were checked in at the door without an account, your check-in email now leads with "Claim your profile". Sign up with that email and the event is already on your profile.

Also fixed: the Events list in Manage was squeezed on some laptop screens, with the buttons covering the text. It lays out properly again.

Event reminders, a feedback view for hosts, and door counts

Three things for people running events.

Reminders now go out on their own: one about 24 hours before the event and one about an hour before, to everyone who is confirmed. They include the time in the event's timezone, the place, the group chat button and the ticket link. Each person gets each reminder once. Hosts can turn reminders off for an event under Edit event.

After an event, hosts can read what people said. Manage → Events now has a Feedback view for each past event: how many were asked, how many answered, the average rating, every comment, and a CSV download. Answers are shown without email addresses.

At the door, the header now shows registered, checked in and walk-ins at a glance. Walk-ins who leave an email get the group chat link in their door email.

Register for an event in one go

Registering for an event no longer means joining the hub first. Tap Register on the event, confirm your email, answer the host's questions, and you're in. You also join the hub in the same tap, so you get the chat link and updates.

Hosts: "Who gets a spot?" now sits at the top of the event form, with two choices: everyone who registers, or you approve each person. Each event in Manage shows which it is, and one tap switches it. When you switch to auto-approve with people waiting, you can approve them all at once.

Hub settings: "Approve new members" is the hub's own setting and is separate from event approval.

Organizers can add a group chat link (WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord or XChat) to any event. People get a "Join the group" button as soon as their spot is confirmed, on the screen and in their email. People still waiting for approval get it when they're confirmed.

Sign in with STX+, weekly digest, three new AI hubs, and a cleaner homepage

Sign in with STX+: a fourth way in, next to X, Telegram and email. STX+ uses your face or fingerprint, no password. It links to the same profile you already have, and you can add or remove it in Settings like the others.

Signing in with X no longer asks for email permission, and if X fails you land on a page that offers email instead. Inside WhatsApp or Telegram's built-in browser, email comes first.

Three new AI & Assistants hubs are live in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, each with its own XChat group.

The AI page (stx.channel/ai) now shows live hubs first, then one box to start or ask for your city. New cities are reviewed before they're listed.

On the Bitcoin & Crypto page, the project listings now end with a "See all" link.

Hub pages: the privacy box tells you exactly what the hub knows about you. You can leave a hub or delete your account in Settings.

Events: the door page has a "Check me in" button and a feedback link, and walk-ins get a feedback QR.

Homepage: the hub cards are bigger and no longer cut names off, and the two cards explain in three steps what organizers and members do here.

When a new hub is listed: your hub page works the moment you create it, and you can share the link and invite people right away. It appears on Explore once it has a chat link. City hubs are also checked before listing. Manage shows which state your hub is in.

Organizers: Manage now shows a small "What's new" card when there's an update you haven't read. Read it or dismiss it; it remembers across your devices.

Weekly digest, starting with Lagos AI & Assistants: a short email once a week with who joined, what's coming up, and a few lines from members. You only get it if you ask for it, in the join form or in Settings, and one tap stops it. Members can send a line for the digest from the hub page: Wanted, Offering, Jobs, or Show your work. Each issue is also a public page at the hub's /digest.

Network counts now match what you'll find on the page: hubs plus project listings. Each network page says how many of each. The AI network is now called AI & Assistants everywhere.
